The Dowsey Legacy

A sims 3 story that goes on and on and on…

Chapter Three: Man Hunt. June 23, 2009

Once again we meet up with Elsa. Have things been going more her way in the past weeks? Or is she still a down trodden loveless bachelorette?

Ha ha ha. Very Funny. Yes, I –may- be a bachelorette but I am anything but down-trodden! I have a great job, so easy going! In fact I have had a promotion and several pay raises, thank you very much!

Screenshot-15

And I’m sure that it has nothing to do with you sucking up to the boss every time you see him?

Well. That does have a little to do with it, but I’m still a great writer and worker! But still looking on the meat market, yes.

And how is that going for you?

Quiet fine actually! Apart from the fact that every man is taken or a complete tool! I spend my weekends at the park talking to every man in sight.

Any potential in any of them?

One or two. It does help that I can weasel them into telling me almost anything about them, it’s great to be a writer.

You are a manipulative sod, aren’t you?

No! It’s my JOB to get the dirt on people. But anyway. I first met Stiles Mcgraw. He is single, which instantly scored well with me, but the more I got to know about him, the less I wanted to know. He was a bit of a contradiction, a loner who wanted to become a big-time musician? I got his number though, just incase..

Screenshot-8

The next man I bumped into, also wanted to be a musician, a rock-star, in fact. He definitely looked the part. His name was Eric Dodgers. Good looking, for sure, but he was a perfectionist. I didn’t think we would mesh well.

Well that’s for sure. You’re so half-arsed about everything.

Screenshot-3

I am not! But the next guy I met had some potential. His name is Gage Briody. He was fairly cute in a shy sort of a way. He was single, but also didn’t have a job. He loved the outdoors and was a computer wiz. We hit it off quite well, which I think surprised us both. We exchanged numbers and he went home.

Screenshot-21

The park was getting really quiet again at this point, and I was pretty peckish. I sat down at a picnic blanket and another new man sat down beside me.

Surprised you didn’t try to steal anything.

Screenshot-10

Oh I was stealing plenty of things all day! Stealing hearts that is. But anyway. I didn’t stick around for long. I lost my appetite and that’s all I wanted to loose, that albino guy looked like he could have gone all ‘Silence of the Lambs’ on me.  Lucky for me there was a man in uniform close by and I didn’t take me long to rush to his side. Thankfully he was with the fuzz.

Screenshot-13

“Excuse me, I was just wondering what you do for a living, I mean, you are a police-officer, not a stripper or anything, right?

I cannot believe you asked him that. I’m shocked he didn’t leave you to your lotioned fate.

Well what was I supposed to think! This guy was actually a bit of alright close up! And lucky for me, he was a cop, rather friendly one too. I don’t know how long I spent talking to Hank (*sigh* Even his name is cute). He was smart, funny, very suave, so very dreamy. Everything I had been trying to find in another guy. Only hiccup was. He was engaged, but even though he was, it didn’t stop him asking for my number. Which I more then happily gave to him

Screenshot-14

I knew you wouldn’t. Even though he’s engaged, I’m sure if you can steal a car, you would have no problem stealing a man.

Oh funny! You can be cruel at times you know? Anyway. A few days past and it was the middle of the week, and my hard worked seemed to have payed off. At least a little. Gage called me up, wondering if he could come over. I accepted right away, I wasn’t doing anything apart from some articles for the newspaper, nothing big you know. He arrived a little while after and I was pleased to see him, was actually nice. I excused myself to use the bathroom, and on my return I found my computer was broken! AGAIN!

Karma chewing on you again?Screenshot-33

No, not this time, it was Gabe, he confessed that he was rather unlucky and that –he- had broken my computer. No big deal though, I was getting rather good at fixing things.

Besides. He more then made it up to me, if you know what I mean, he really is a sweet guy. I thought that I had finally found a guy that I could settle down with. But things started to get complicated the next day

Screenshot-31

Oh? Do tell, this is starting to get mildly interesting!

Hank paid me a visit. I really wasn’t expecting this, seeing as he was engaged and all. Or so I thought. He told me that he had broken up with his fiancée! This is when I found out his first flaw. He had commitment issues. But who doesn’t have a few bad things about them? Besides me, of course.

Yes. Because you’re so wonderfully perfect in everyway.

Screenshot-35

About time you realised that! After a few minutes of idle chitchat and playful light-hearted flirting, I asked him inside, where we continued to flirt.

Screenshot-37“Oh your face is so smooth, you must go to the spa more then I do!”

Screenshot-38

And with that, he was putty in my hands! Or me in his? What ever way around it was, one thing led to another and well. You can guess where things went.

I can only wish I didn’t. But you look rather pleased with yourself.

Screenshot-39

Of course I was! Two men that I could choose from, my life was great! Or so I thought. It was now the weekend, I was looking forward to time off but, I wasn’t feeling so hot. I think I caught a stomach bug or something.

.. Or something …

I didn’t leave the house because I was chucking my guts up every few minutes.

Screenshot-41

“Think happy thoughts. Think happy Thoughts”

Damn this stomach bug. Ruining my weekend! Cant leave the house, cant go see Gage, or hank! … Oh …

Screenshot-43Screenshot-44

Was wondering how long it was going to take to dawn on you.

It didn’t take long to confirm my worst fears. I was watching the cooking channel when it kicked me.

Screenshot-48

Literally… But who is the father?

I cant be sure. Goram. What have I done? What am I going to do? I got time off work. But that wasn’t going to help my problem.

And with that, we leave Elsa to contemplate her naval, and the baby beneath it. Who is the father? And how is she going to tell them? All the drama unfolds in our next chapter.
